November 19, 2021
Show Notes
On this episode of Students of Mind our focus is grief. Jayde is joined by Katie Dalmas, a youth worker, advocate, grieving loved one and founder of Beyond the Clouds–a service that supports the terminally ill and their loved ones. Katie shares her personal story navigating the difficult challenges being a young caretaker after the passing of her mother, what she’s learned about the grieving process, the changing relationships with friends and family, and how she and her family deal with the experience today. Through her organization Katie supports both those who are terminally ill and their loved ones by filling in the gaps of care both before and after the passing of a terminally ill loved one–she accomplishes this through providing families with healthing coping systems, projects to keep their loved one’s legacy alive after their passing, and more. Katie’s story is a beautiful one of resilience and giving back.
