On this episode of Students of Mind, Jayde is joined by Clinical Psychologist Dr. Juliette McClendon (they/them). Dr. McClendon is a clinical psychologist with world-leading expertise in racial trauma, culturally responsive mental health care, and digital mental health. Together they discuss the difficulties people face when seeking mental health care. Dr. McClendon also gives insight into what criteria is important to consider when looking for a therapist and what to do when a provider doesn't tick all of your boxes. They also shed light on the realities and benefits of telehealth.
